Company Story

Selle Supply Company is a full-line distributor of insulation products and related construction materials and a custom fabricator of metal building insulation. Its history is vast, spanning five ownership generations, and its reputation has been built over decades since the company’s inception in 1947.

Company History

In 1947, Willard A. Selle, Inc. was formed by the original owner with the same name in El Paso, Texas. Early in the history of the company, it began doing business as Selle Insulation Company. Selle’s early roots were based in commercial and light industrial mechanical insulation contracting. Selle Insulation worked in insulation contracting for approximately 30 years and also began distributing insulation materials during the 1960s. In the late 1970s, Selle made their predominant business insulation material distribution, and discontinued their contracting activities. Also during the 1970s, Selle insulation opened new locations in Lubbock, Texas and Albuquerque, New Mexico and became a fabricator of metal building insulation in a growing construction market. Currently, Selle is working on expanding its product offerings to other building materials, including fire stop and roofing products, among others. Selle is committed today to continue their search for market niches in the construction industry and a broader product base.

Today, Selle Supply, along with its sister company, PBI Supply, comprise the largest regional insulation fabricator/distributor in the United States. The companies distribute materials in a seven-state area in the Southwestern United Sates as well as Mexico.
